Life-long Support to the Residents

Our chapter is dedicated to volunteering  in the community. We are committed to the Air Force Enlisted Village, and support events that help the residents at the Hawthorne House and Bob Hope Village . On a quarterly basis, we commit to splitting half of the proceed with them that comes from us conducting a car wash fundraisers well as other events like our annual Holiday Party,

Adopt-a-Highway

Taking Care of the Environment

The Adopt-a-Highway program, and the very similar Sponsor-a-Highway, are promotional campaigns undertaken by U.S. states, provinces and territories of Canada, in addition to national governments outside North America to encourage volunteers to keep a section of a highway free from litter.

Annual Joint Combat Dining Out

AFSA Chapters United

The combat dining-out has served as an tradition for military members, family, and friends to meet socially at a semi-formal military function and have fun while doing so in a combat style environment. It enhances the esprit de corps of units, lightens the load of demanding day-to-day work, gives AFSA chapter members between Eglin and Hurlburt Field an opportunity to meet socially. It also enables military members of all ranks to create bonds of friendship and better working relations through an atmosphere of good fellowship.

Quality Living With Flavor

For several years AFSA 554 has partnered with the Magnolia Grill to be a prime venue for fundraising in the community for veterans and their families. Magnolia Grill has been wonderful in delivering the right service to enhance relationships.

Military Family Appreciation Day

Celebration of our Military

If veterans are there...so is our chapter. Usually held on the first Saturday of the month of April at the Landing. This is a free event for all Active Military, Veterans and their families. It is a full day of activities to honor your service and your sacrifices. Activities include free food and drinks, free children's inflatable fun zone plus live bands and much more.

Heroes Without Limits

2018 marked the fourth time that Eglin AFB has hosted our Air Force Wounded Warriors (AFW2). We stand behind these brave men and women by giving of our time with game participation and serving of food.

Another Level of Competition

Each year we ensure to showcase he best of cars that the local area has to offer. 2022 will mark our sixth year of  antique, classic, muscle, and modern cars. It is an excellent competitiveness that raising funds towards supporting our yearly chapter obligations.

Eglin Connects

Social Resiliency for the Military

We honor our deployed veterans and seek creative ways for Airmen and their families to share in those moments. Eglin connects is a great way that the base Community Support Coordinator brings everyone together so our chapter continues to celebrate that each year.
